5 Simple Guidelines for Healthy Posture

What are the guiding principles that underlie a healthy posture?

In this week’s episode of The HERO Foundation Series, we’re looking at five of them. All fairly basic ideas that can help pull you into alignment in a resting position. So you’re nice and stable whilst standing (and moving about too if you like). 

If you’re an athlete looking to perform better, a movement geek trying to iron out some nagging injuries, or a busy parent hoping to straighten your body out a bit and feel less pain – these are just for you my friend.

No promises, but they may even improve the way you move and help minimise your injury risk when you’re out there in the world doing what you do best – being awesome.

Whether it’s when you’re cleaning your teeth, getting ready for the gym, or before you head into work – have a play around at adopting the five healthy posture principles as many times as you can throughout your day.

Just remember:

It’s not about perfection. You can think of it as a mindfulness practice – bringing your attention back to your body as often as you can and making the necessary adjustments.
